The Bohemia
The Czech Republic is a country of central-east Europe formed historically from three great regions: Bohemia, Moravia and Slesia.

The production of Bohemia crystal is an ancient tradition, that started around to 1200, when in the monasteries of the north of the Bohemia it began to made, by hand, the first objects of crystal for daily use.

In 1279, thanks to the cleverness of the glassmakers in the working of the crystal, they were made three great mosaics wall for the Cathedral of Saint Vito, with the images of the Universal Judgment (still today one of the symbols of Praga and the Czech Republic)
During the Rinaissance, the crystal was used in the decoration of castles, a lot appreciated from the court of the Asburgo, for the most varied shapes and colors, that the glassmakers were in a position to realize, using stung of diamond for the recordings and chemical elements for the coloration.

It was, around to 1600, during the government of Rodolfo II of Asburgo, that the crystal began to go on the tables of all Europe in shape of goblet, glasies and other objects. At the end of the 800 and the first of the 900, with the two artistic currents in the world, the Art Nouveau and the Art Deco, the crystal began to be exported in all the world , in the most varied artistic shapes.

Still today, the objects of Bohemia crystal are products of high-quality, made with great handcraft cure, using the secular experiences handed on for generations from the famous masters glassmakers of the Bohemia, known in all the world.
Every single object of Bohemia crystal is a jewel, that with its characteristics of purity (24% Pbo) and fragile beauty, it donates a pleasure outside from the time.

The Thun was founded in 1794, and still today it is in activity in Czech Republic. Thun's porcelain is produced in seven factories, every of which it is specialized for single lines and articles: porcelain ornaments, white porcelain (used in hotels), rose porcelain, decorated porcelain etc.

The Thun's factory produces also lines with limited series artistic, rigorously produced by handmade, with recordings in gold and exclusive decorations, which: the Studio Thun Line and the President Line (in honor of the president of the Czech Republic, used during the official receptions in the Prague's Castle).
The high quality of Thun’ products derives from the secular experience in the production of the porcelain, from other elements that are the use of the most modern technologies that concur to produce articles of several dimensions (objects also, until 450 mm of diameter) and shapes (plates, trays, etc.); the cure in the decoration, with beyond 6.000 types of decoration, baking in furnace until 1.260 °C and in the use of gold press.
The Thun has between its customers all over the world, famous personages of the sport, of the culture, of the show and the politics (the Thun’s porcelain is used from the President of the Czech Republic in the Prague’s Castle, at the Kremlin in Moscow and many other Embassies in the world).
